Cardamom prices gained 1.02% to Rs 781.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing regions.
Some export enquiries also influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July rose by Rs 7.90, or 1.02%, to Rs 781.40 per kg in business turnover of 753 lots.
Analysts said speculators enlarged their positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market against limited arrivals from producing belts mainly led to rise in cardamom prices at futures market.
Some export enquiries also influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.

Similarly, cardamom for delivery in August edged up by Rs 3.50, or 0.44%, to Rs 797.30 per kg in 229 lots.
