Cardamom prices rose by 9.30 to Rs 1,057.10 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions, tracking a firm spot market trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November rose by Rs 9.30, or 0.89%, to Rs 1,057.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 45 lots.

October cardamom moved up by Rs 5.80, or 0.56%, to Rs 1,034 per kg, with an open interest of 149 lots.

Marketmen said speculators enlarged positions on the back of good demand in the spot market amid limited arrivals from producing belt, pushing up cardamom futures.
