Cardamom up over 1% on good demand

Restricted arrivals from producing belts supported the upside

Cardamom prices rose 1.25% to Rs 753.30 per kg in futures trade today on firm trends at spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract moved up by Rs 9.30, or 1.25% to Rs 753.30 per kg 409 lots.

The July contract traded higher by Rs 6.70, or 0.87% to Rs 775.50 per kg in 69 lots.

A firm demand from both domestic and overseas buyers is pushing up the prices of the spice at spot markets, analysts said.

Besides, restricted arrivals from producing belts supported the upside, they said.
