Cashew declines on subdued demand

Cashew prices declined by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today influenced by subdued demand from local parties and stockists.

Comfortable stocks following increased arrivals from producing belts also weighed on the cashew prices.

Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 320) prices fell by Rs 5 to settle at Rs 635-645, Rs 575-585, Rs 520-525 and Rs 415-435 per kg respectively

Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks mainly led to a fall in cashew kernel prices at the wholesale dry fruit market.
