Cashew declines on subdued demand

Cashew prices declined by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today owing to fall in demand from retailers and stockists.

Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices fell by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 620-630, Rs 575-580, Rs 510-515 and Rs 440-460 per kg, respectively.

Market analysts said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, following increased arrivals from producing belts, mainly led to a fall in cashew kernel prices at the wholesale dry fruit market.
