Cashew kernel declines in thin trade

In restricted activity, cashew kernel prices declined by Rs 5 per kg in the wholesale dry fruits market today owing to slack demand against adequate stocks.      

Traders said sluggish demand from retailers against adequate stocks in the market mainly led to decline in cashew kernel prices.

Cashew kernel No (180) shed Rs 5 to Rs 650-660 per kg.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per 40 kg:

Almond (California) Rs 10,000, Almond (gurbandi-new) Rs 4,900-5,100, almond (girdhi) Rs 2,700-2,800, and Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000-20,000
