Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists. Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at at Rs 490-500, Rs 460-465, Rs 385-390 and Rs 345-355 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said, increased buying by retailers and stockists amid tight supplies from growing regions mainly pushed up cashew prices.

Elsewhere, prices of other dry fruits ruled steady on scattered deals.
