Cashew rises on fresh buying

Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists. Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 535-540, Rs 485-490, Rs 435-450 and Rs 405-410 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists, against tight supplies from Southern regions mainly pushed up cashew prices.
