Cashew rises on fresh buying

Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today, largely due to pick up in the buying activity, driven by  festive and marriage season demand.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to settle at Rs 605-620 Rs 555-575, Rs 505-520 and Rs 440-475 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions, mainly pushed up cashew prices.
