Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of rising local demand.
Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the uptrend in the prices.
Cashew kernel No-180, No 210, No 240, and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to Rs 645-655, Rs 600-610, Rs 535-545, and Rs 450-470 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet rising demand from local parties and bulk consumers against tight supplies from producing belts pushed up cashew prices.
