Cashew rises on fresh buying

Supported by a firm demand, cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg on the wholesale dry fruits market today.   

In addition, tight supplies from growing regions also influenced the prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to settle at Rs 630-640, Rs 590-595, Rs 525-530 and Rs 445-465 per kg, respectively. 

Market analysts said increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet increased demand mainly pushed up cashew prices.
