Cashew rises on tight stocks; firm demand

Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on increased demand from bulk consumers amid tight stocks following weak supplies. 

Marketmen said strong demand from bulk cnsumers for the festive and marriage season against weak supplies from the producing belts, mainly supported the rise in cashew prices.

Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 320) prices rose by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 575-585, Rs 525-555, Rs 485-500 and Rs 425-455 per kg, respectively.
