Castoroil strengthens on rising demand

Castorseeds bold  and castoroil commercial continued its surge at the oils and oilseeds market here today due to rising demand from soap industries and exporters amid restricted arrivals from producing regions.

Meanwhile, refined palmolein remained weak on lower demand, while groundnutoil held steady on absence of buying support. Castorseeds futures, after moving with wide fluctuations closed almost flat on easing of export enquiries.

Linseed oil remained stable owing to lack of market moving factors.

In non-edible section, castorseeds bold rose by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,200 from overnight's closing level of Rs 4,175 and castoroil commercial firmed up by Rs 5 per 10 kgs to Rs 870, as against Rs 865 yesterday.

Linseedoil were unaltered at Rs 550 per 10 kg.

Turning to edible oil section, refined palmolein lost by Rs 4 to Rs 455 per 10 kg, as against Rs 459 previously, while groundnutoil held steady at Rs 895.

Moving to futures section, castorseed's October contract resumed higher at Rs 4,051 and traded in a wide range of Rs 4,071 and Rs 4,026 before ending at Rs 4,037 as against 4,038 per tonne yesterday.
