Castorseed prices declined by Rs 33 to Rs 3,910 per quintal in futures trade today due to thin demand amid mounting stocks in domestic markets.
Marketmen said prospects of higher production this season following heavy rains in the major producing regions mainly influenced the market sentiment.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for January contract dropped by Rs 33, or 0.84%, to Rs 3,910 per quintal, in open interest of 93,470 lots.
Most active current October contract fell by Rs 22, or 0.62% to Rs 3,546 per quintal, having an open interest of 99,790 lots.
