Castorseed prices moved up by 2.41% Rs 5,139 per quintal in futures trade today following brisk buying sparked by firm spot markets cue.
Market analysts said strong demand and restricted supply in physical markets, guided the trading sentiments here in futures price of castorseed.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for July delivery rose by Rs 121, or 2.41% to Rs 5,139 per quintal, with an open interest of 5,040 lots.
Likewise, its prices for delivery in June jumped up by Rs 66, or 1.31% to Rs 5,113 per quintal, with a business turnover of 10,660 lots.
Castorseed prices for delivery in May moved up by Rs 31.50, or 0.63% to Rs 5,060 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,850 lots.
