Castorseeds futures prices rose modestly in an otherwise steady oil and oilseeds market here today on renewed export demand amidst speculative buying.
While, edible and non-edible oil market witnessed a stable trend owing to sluggish demand coupled with lack of market moving factors.
In the futures trade, castorseeds for September delivery resumed higher at Rs 5,190 and firmed up further to close at Rs 5,225 from Monday's closing level of Rs 5,180, disclosing a gain of Rs 45 per tonne.
However, groundnut oil, refined palmolein, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil, unaltered at their overnight close of Rs 965, Rs 556, Rs 5,180, Rs 1,066 and Rs 710, respectively.
