Caustic soda down on reduced offtake

Caustic soda prices fell by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital today on reduced offtake by consuming industries, against increased arrivals from the producing regions. Caustic soda flake declined by Rs 50 to Rs 900-950 per 50 kg.

Traders said subdued demand from the consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts pulled down caustic soda prices in the wholesale chemicals market here.

Elsewhere, prices of other chemicals ruled steady on scattered deals.
