Central Bank of India has rallied 7% to Rs 95.45 on back of huge volumes. As many as 1.42 million shares have already changed hands on the counter till 1011 hours, against an average 1.9 million shares that were traded daily in past ten trading days on the NSE and BSE.
The state-owned bank has opened Capital Market Services Branch rendering exclusive services to the segments of customers who are dealing with capital market. Bank has tied up with the broking house Angel Broking for on-Line Trading, it said in a press release.
Meanwhile, media reports suggest that the bank may go in for restructuring of some of its loans to the electricity companies in the current quarter. The bank has a total exposure of around Rs 12,000 crore to the power distribution companies.
