The government has called a meeting to discuss the matter with various representatives of the plantation industries.
The meeting will be attended by senior officials from the ministry of commerce (MoC) and ministry of finance (MoF).
Arun Jaitley, Union minister for commerce and industry, said the meeting would explore all the possible steps for the improvement of the plantation industry.
In his address to the planters at the 110 th annual meeting of the United Planters Association of South India (UPASI), Jaitley said,
