Cera Sanitaryware soared 11% to Rs 1,754 on BSE after reporting 48% year on year (yoy) growth in net profit at Rs 15.75 crore for the second quarter ended September 2014 (Q2), on back of healthy operational income. The company had registered a profit of Rs 10.62 crore during the same quarter last fiscal.
Net sales of the company grew 26% to Rs 200 crore on yoy basis, Cera Sanitaryware said in a statement.
Operating profit increased by 38% yoy at Rs 29 crore, while margins improved by over 100 basis points to 14.6% during the recently concluded quarter.
The stock opened at Rs 1,647 and hit a high of Rs 1,788 on BSE. The trading volumes on the counter more than doubled with a combined 93,700 shares changed hands so far on BSE and NSE.
