Chana futures for April fell by Rs 17, or 0.50% to Rs 3371 per quintal in 53,920 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX), the May contract shed Rs 13, or 0.38% to Rs 3401 per quintal in 66,370 lots.

Prices fell as speculators offloaded their positions, driven by sluggish spot market demand against adequate supplies from producing belts.

Estimates of higher output this season also put pressure on chana prices.
