Chana prices fell by 21 to Rs 3,818 per quintal in futures trade today on increased arrivals of new crop in the spot markets against subdued demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, May chana fell by Rs 21, or 0.55%, to Rs 3,818 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,67,130 lots.
The April delivery lost Rs 12, or 0.32%, to Rs 3,713 per quintal in 71,710 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in chana futures prices to rising arrivals of new crop in the spot market against weak demand.
