Chana futures today rose by Rs 14 to Rs 2,231 per quintal after speculators enlarged positions on expectations of rise in demand in the domestic market amid the festive season.
At the Multi-Commodity Exchange, chana for September month contract rose by Rs 14, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 2,231 per quintal.
Similarly, chana for delivery in August month contract traded Rs 10, or 0.46 per cent, higher to Rs 2,192 per quintal in five lots.
Traders said speculators increased their positions on hopes of rise in demand in the spot market due to festive season.
