Chana futures prices remained weak and fell by Rs 29 to Rs 3,208 per quintal today due to sluggish demand against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for September delivery slid by Rs 29, or 0.90%, to Rs 3,208 per quintal, with an open interest of 960 lots.
Likewise, the commodity for August delivery lost Rs 28, or 0.89%, to Rs 3,119 per quintal, with a business turnover of 1,89,970 lots. Traders said sluggish demand against adequate stocks position mainly led to fall in chana futures prices.
