Chana prices declined by Rs 6 to Rs 3,242 per quintal in the futures market today due to low spot market demand amid adequate stock availability.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchanges, February chana declined by Rs 6, or 0.18%, to Rs 3,242 per quintal, with an open interest for 57,040 lots.
The January contract shed Rs 4, or 0.12%, to Rs 3,274 per quintal in 1,29,910 lots.
Market analysts said the adequate stocks position and lower demand in the spot market mainly led to the decline in chana futures prices.
