Chana prices rose by three per cent to Rs 2,469 per quintal in futures trade today on sustained buying by traders, driven by pick-up spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, chana for delivery in July rose by Rs 72, or three per cent to Rs 2,469 per quintal, with a trading volume of 40 lots.

Analysts said sustained buying by traders, supported by rising demand in the spot markets pushed up the chana futures prices.
