Chana prices rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2,670 per quintal in futures trade today, as speculators enlarged their positions on good demand in the spot market.
Restricted arrivals in the physical market also influenced the chana prices at futures trade.
At the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange, chana for March contract rose Rs 10, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 2,670 per quintal, with an open interest of 91,740 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in February contract gained Rs 6, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 2,623 per quintal, with a busienss voluem of 74,350 lots.
Analysts said increased buying by speculators on good demand in the spot market mainly led to the rise in chana futures prices.
