Chana slide by 0.6% on sluggish demand

Increased supplies from producing region also influenced chana prices

Chana prices slid by 0.58% to Rs 3,107 per quintal in futures trade today due to sluggish demand in the spot market against increased supplies.
 
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in October month fell by Rs 18, or 0.58% to Rs 3,107 per quintal with an open interest of 92,420 lots.
 
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in September declined by Rs 15, or 0.49% to Rs 3,030 per quintal in 1,20,930 lots.
 
Traders said besides sluggish demand in the spot market, increased supplies from producing region also influenced chana prices at futures trade.
