Chana prices rose 0.30% to Rs 3,310 per quintal in futures market today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by increased demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in August gained Rs 10, or 0.30%, to Rs 3,310 per quintal with an open interest of 63,620 lots.
Similarly, chana for delivery in the July contract traded higher by Rs 8, or 0.25%, to Rs 3,241 per quintal in 1,72,230 lots.
Analysts said speculators enlarged their positions, triggered by increased demand in the spot market mainly influenced chana prices at futures trade.
