Red chilli and jeera prices rose up to Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists and retailers.
Domestic as well as exporters' demand against restricted arrivals and firm trend in futures market also supported prices.
Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 5,200-9,900 per quintal. Jeera common and jeera best quality also surged by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 13,000-13,300 and Rs 14,100-14,600.
Traders said sentiments turned better following rising domestic and export demand and firming trend at futures market.
