Red chilli and pepper prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists as well as exporters.
Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 6,700-11,900 per quintal. Black pepper prices also traded higher at by Rs 22,900-23,000 against previous closing of Rs 22,800-23,000 per quintal.
Traders said sentiments turned better following rising domestic and export demand and firming trend at futures market mainly pushed up chilli and pepper prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
