In thin trading, red chilli and pepper prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by stockists and exporters amid low stocks position.
Encouraging advices from growing regions also supported the rise in prices.
Red chilli and pepper prices rose by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 9,400-13,400 and Rs 29,000-29,500 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said fresh buying by stockists and rising export demand mainly pushed up chilli and pepper prices in the wholesale market here.
