Red chilli and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today, owing to weak local and export demand at existing high prices.
Fresh arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on the prices.
Red chilli and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 6,800-12,300 and Rs 13,300-17,300 per quintal, respectively.
Market analysts said reduced offtake by stockists and exporters at prevailing levels mainly pulled down the chilli and turmeric prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
