Chilli futures for March rose by Rs 58, or 0.89%, to Rs 6,566 per quintal in 6,530 lots.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, the April contract gained Rs 32, or 0.48%, to Rs 6,720 per quintal in 4,690 lots.
Traders creating fresh positions, pick-up in spot market demand supported the trade.
Restricted arrivals, rising domestic as well as export demand also triggerd the uptrend.
