Coal India turns ex-dividend today

The board had approved payment of interim dividend @ Rs 20.70 per share of the face value of Rs 10.

Shares of Coal India have dipped 5% at Rs 373.90 on the BSE in early morning trade after the stock turned ex-dividend for Rs 20.70 per share today.

The board of directors of Coal India at its meeting held on February 27, 2015, had approved payment of interim dividend for the financial year 2014-15 @ Rs 20.70 per share of the face value of Rs 10.

The company has fixed March 04, 2015 as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for the purpose of payment of interim dividend.

The date of payment is on and from March 10, 2015, it added.

The stock opened at Rs 374 and touched a low of Rs 372 on the BSE. Till 0930 hours, a combined 692,715 shares changed hands on BSE and NSE.
