Contrary to early reports of a fall in the next year's coffee production, good monsoons in recent weeks in some coffee-growing regions of Karnataka are likely to improve the crop output, trade officials and growers said.
They said though the production would still be lower, it was likely to be 10 to 15 per cent below the pre-blossom estimates of 325,454 tonne and not 20 per cent as feared earlier in June due to lack of rains.
