Copper futures for April declined by Rs 1.15, or 0.28%, to Rs 429.65 per kg in 2,344 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract fell by Rs 1.10, or 0.25%, to Rs 434.60 per kg in 138 lots.

Profit-booking by speculators pulled down the prices.

Firm trend in the base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME), limited the falls.

The three-month contract traded 0.50% higher at $7,812.50 per tonne on the LME as a better-than-estimated service-sector growth in the US boosted the demand outlook.
