Tracking a weak trend in global markets, copper prices declined by 0.19% to Rs 430.20 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators offloaded their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, April copper declined by 80 paise, or 0.19%, to Rs 430.20 per kg in business turnover of 13,207 lots.
The June delivery in June traded lower by 65 paise, or 0.15%, to Rs 435.15 per kg in 735 lots.
Market analysts said speculators offloaded their positions on the back of a weakening global trend mainly influenced copper prices at futures market.
Meanwhile, copper for three-month fell 0.8% to $8,385 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
