Copper falls amid weak trend overseas

Copper prices declined by Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metal market today on reduced demand amid weak global cues. 

Traders said reduced industrial demand amid weak trend at the London Metal Exchange mainly led to the decline in copper prices.

Meanwhile, copper fell by 0.2% to $9,150.50 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 504, Rs 527 and Rs 487 per kg, respectively.
