Copper prices rose by Rs 1.85, or 0.26%, to Rs 420.85 per kg in futures trade today, after the metal firmed up in global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, February copper rose by Rs 1.85, or 0.26%, to Rs 420.85 per kg, with a business volume of 3,656 lots.
The April delivery gained Rs 1.05, or 0.25%, to Rs 424.45 per kg, with a trade turnover of 300 lots.
At the London Metal Exchange (LME), three-month copper delivery gained 0.4% to $8,236 per tonne.
