Copper prices moved up by 0.12% to Rs 420.25 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on firm global cues.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in August traded higher by 50 paise, or 0.12%, to Rs 420.25 per kg in business turnover of 431 lots.
Likewise, copper for delivery in June contracts edged up by 45 paise, or 0.11%, to Rs 415 per kg in 6,116 lots.
Meanwhile, copper climbed 0.4% to $7,349.25 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
