Copper maintains upward march on global cues

Copper prices maintained their upward march by adding Rs 2 per kg more on the local non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries amid a firm trend at the London Metal Exchange.

Marketmen said apart from a firm trend at the London Metal Exchange, increased demand from consuming industries mainly kept copper prices remained up.

Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months added $5 to $8,725 a metric tonne at LME.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 454, Rs 478 and Rs 439 per kg.

Tin ingot 815, zinc ingot 130.50, nickel plate (4x4) 1,005-1,007, gun metal scrap 226 bell metal scrap 228, copper wire scrap 454, copper wire bar 478, copper mixed scrap 439, Utensil scrap 224, Chadripital 175

Lead ingot 134, lead imported 136, aluminium ingots 102, sheet cutting 105, aluminium wire scrap 102 and aluminium utensils scrap 102.
