Copper, nickel recover on fresh buying

Copper and nickel prices recovered by Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metals market today on fresh buying by stockists and pick up in demand from the consuming industries.

Marketmen said fresh buying activity and recovery at the London Metal Exchange, helped copper and nickel prices to recover.

Copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 359, Rs 378 and Rs 337, while nickel (4x4) traded higher by the same margin at Rs 866-980 per kg.
