Copper, nickel rise on industrial demand

Copper and nickel prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the local non-ferrous metal market today on stockists buying to meet the rising industrial demand.

Trading sentiment remained firm on the back of increased buying by stockists, driven by pick up in industrial demand.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap remained in demand and added Rs 5 each to 373, Rs 392 and Rs 351, while nickel (4x4) traded higher by the same margin at Rs 887-1,001 per kg.
