Copper recovers on global cues

Copper prices recovered by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today, largely on a firm trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Marketmen said fresh demand from consuming industries also helped in the recovery in copper prices.

Meanwhile,copper for three-month delivery rose 1.6 per cent at the LME.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were recovered by Rs 2 each to Rs 444, Rs 468 and Rs 429 per kg, respectively.
