Copper continued to slide for the third straight day, losing Rs 2 per kg on the wholesale non-ferrous metal market today, on sustained selling by stockists influenced by a weak trend at the London Metal Exchange.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months lost 2.9 per cent to $6,485 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange, the biggest hub for base-metal trading that controls prices in the world markets.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 358, Rs 377 and Rs 336 a kilo respectively.
