Copper prices fell by Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metals market today on sustained selling by stockists on the back of weakening global trend.
Marketmen said sustained selling by stockists after a weakening trend in the London Metal Exchange led to a fall in copper prices.
Meanwhile, copper for three-month delivery shed 0.4 per cent to $6,582 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
Copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap remained under selling pressure and lost Rs 2 each to Rs 355, Rs 374 and Rs 333 per kg, respectively.
