Barring a fall in copper largely on weak global trends, other metal prices ruled steady on the local non-ferrous metal market today.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries amid weakening trend in overseas market mainly helped copper prices to trade at lower prices.
Meanwhile, copper for three-month delivery fell 0.7 per cent to $9,820.75 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap declined by Rs 2 each to Rs 518, Rs 541, and Rs 502 per kg, respectively.
