Copra Kozhikode spurts on steady demand

Copra Kozhikode prices rose further at the spices market here today due to rising demand from retailers as well as exporters coupled with higher offtake from millers.  

Copra office Kozhikode hardened by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,950 from Monday's closing level of Rs 6,850.

Meanwhile, rest of spices closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support. 

Following are today's closing rates in Rs, with the previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 245/258 (245/258), ginger bleached (per kg) 160 (160), ginger unbleached (per kg) 190 (190), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,050 (7,050)

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,950 (6,850), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 8,900 (8,900) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,200 (8,200)
