Copra Rajapur prices continued to rise at the spices market here today due to sustained buying from stockists and retailers coupled with lower arrivals from key growing regions.

Copra edible also moved up on good domestic demand.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai shot up by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 7,000 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 6,800 and copra edible Mumbai gained by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,350 as against Rs 6,300 yesterday.

Meanwhile, rest of the spices ended stable owing to lack of buying support.

Following are today's closing rates in rupees, with the previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 231/245 (231/245), ginger bleached (per kg) 230 (230), ginger unbleached (per kg) 245 (245), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,550 (5,550)
